Sew Start! Beginner Series Classes
Want to learn how to sew? Sew Start! Beginner is for you! It is assumed that students of the project classes know how to thread their machine prior to class. If this is not known, we recommend the Basic Mechanical Class as an excellent introduction! Sewing 101 and Pattern Reading 101 are also recommended classes but are not required. It depends on deep a dive you want to take!
The Beginner series is open to all ages, though suggested youngest age is a mature 10 (though as young as 7 has successfully attended). It’s a supportive, enthusiastic and fun loving series though class sizes are limited to a maximum of 6 in order to ensure that personalized attention can be given.
What projects are available? Here is a partial list in the order we hope to present them since this is a skill builder series aimed at graduating students into the Sew Start! Intermediate level. These are a list of some of the classes that have been taught, but it seriously a partial list. The goal will be have simple on-line versions of each these, including patterns and instructions, so that anyone can take them, anywhere.

What kind of machines work best? This class is an all-brand class and uses the sewing functionality of machines. No matter how fancy or basic your machine is, as long as it sews smoothly all are welcome!
What to bring? Your machine along with the power cord, foot control, all accessories that came with it, and your sewing basket with useful items (pins, scissors, spare needles, etc). Please make sure the machine is in good working order.
Where? Contact Dravon to schedule either a private lesson or see about having Dravon teach at your location. This can even be a private party event!
Cost? Cost depends on venue.
Class limit? Because this is a beginner class, it’s anticipated that a lot of instructor attention will be required. The absolute maximum size is 6 people.
